Everything on here is original.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
And so I lay here in silence,
With nothing to take me away
To the dream place
Where I belong.
Tossing and turning
Through this endless nightmare,
With only my footsteps behind me.
I watch and wait
For my peaceful mind to grow.
The epicenter of my control
Resides within a single seed,
Of which mutes my demons,
If only for a moment.
So I wait.
And I think
as if no one is listening.
But as I wait my thoughts turn to filth.
Bloody words scatter through my brain.
Running.
Racing.
North, south,
East, west.
Every direction,
with no direction.
My mind is a monster,
Tearing me apart.
As I lay in my bed,
Thoughts like rain
Run down my face.
And I’m still waiting.
Wanting.
Needing.
For the emerging sun
To hush the haunted.
I look out the window
And rising from the dirt
Is a plant.
A plant to bring me hope,
That with each tomorrow
A new seed is dropped.
